‘Take a seat with the flowers.’

PALMAS is an exploration of flowers, art and emotion. We work with flowers and objects to create stories and experiences, that playfully nod to tradition.

Founded as a creative project by two sisters, Katie and Sophie Sturch, with an appreciation for opposing design ideals, PALMAS is a natural evolution of their interest in exploring the human connection to design and nature, having both worked within the creative industries. Underpinned by the art of giving and bringing people together, PALMAS aims to evoke a deeper level of connection.

PALMAS’ signature floral creations embody a modern approach to floristry and craft. Considered colour, contrasting texture and bold form remain core principles of the brand’s sculptural designs, working where possible with unusual stems.

PALMAS also curates objects to adorn the table, as a complement to floral settings, wherever your seat awaits.

The studio is based in Sheffield.

Philosophy

At PALMAS we aim to work consciously with flowers. Our handmade-to-order offer helps to reduce flower waste. We work with flowers to allow them to express their beauty and individuality, always choosing to source quality seasonal stems. We avoid the use of floral foam and instead employ more responsible practices, such as reusable mechanics like wire or Kenzan Frog Pins for our compositions.
